The Republic of San Marino has recognised Cav Joe Ricotta’s valuable contribution during the pandemic as well as the efforts to raise awareness about the extremely difficult situation San Marino was facing during the Covid-19 pandemic and has decided to award him the Knight of the Order of St Agatha.
Cav Ricotta, a successful entrepreneur and an Esharelife Ambassador, immediately responded positively to the Honorary Consulate appeal back in March 2020 to help the San Marino Government to overcome the difficult situation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
He was among the first people to contribute to the San Marino Emergency Fund and proactively was involved in the emergency appeal launched by our Consulate, to attract the attention of the UK politicians to the situation in San Marino. He has done so without asking anything in exchange and anonymously.
The award recognises Cav Ricotta’s contribution toward helping San Marino through charitable activities.
Cav Ricotta received his award from HE Dr Luca Beccari, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, during a ceremony organised in London on 8th March 2022 on the occasion of the visit of Their Excellencies Mr Francesco Mussoni and Mr Giacomo Simoncini, the Captains Regent of the Republic of San Marino.
