San Marino participated in WTM London 2024

Every year, at the beginning of November, one of the most influential travel and tourism events in the world takes place in London. The World Travel Market (WTM) brings together industry leaders and innovators to showcase their latest offerings and trends This vibrant gathering sets the stage for networking knowledge exchange and new opportunities that can redefine the global travel landscape Participants from every corner of the planet converge with the shared goal of celebrating the spirit of exploration and discovery as they engage in discussions that shape the future of tourism.

On November 5th 2024, Consul Bragagni was honoured to participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the San Marino stand at the WTM-2024 event. The delegation from San Marino was headed by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Posts, Cooperation, and Expo, HE Mr Federico Pedini Amati.

The 2024 edition of the World Travel Market (WTM) is set to be the largest yet, both in terms of exhibitors and attendance. Organizers anticipate welcoming at least 45,000 professional visitors from around the globe, reflecting a 9% increase in the number of destinations represented. WTM London will feature over 4,000 participants, including global tourism boards, hoteliers, transport services, technology brands, associations, and tour operators.

The Republic of San Marino returned this year with a 40 m2 customized exhibition space inside the ENIT Pavilion hosting 6 San Marino operators: Ace Tour Operator, Azimut Tour Operator, Itinerari Tour Operator, San Marino Outlet Experience, San Marino International and San Marino Welcome.

On November 6th 2024, the Secretary of State for Tourism participated in the meeting organized by UN Tourism entitled “Ministers’ Summit”, in which Ministers of Tourism from all over the world will discuss the ongoing travel trends.

During his stay in London, he also visited the offices of the Honorary Consulate of San Marino in London, where he met the consulate staff and learned about the activities and events organized by the consulate to promote and protect the interests of San Marino and its citizens in the UK.
