Consul Bragagni was discharged from the hospital on January 5th 2024 and is fully recovering at his home. During his absence, the Consulate has continued to carry out its duties normally.
Consul Brgagani had been suffering from medical issues related to his digestive system for some time and had decided to undergo surgery. The surgery was successfully performed by Dr. Deprizio at San Donato Hospital in Arezzo, Italy, on December 19th, 2023.
Unfortunately, after the surgery, Consul Bragagni confronted unforeseen complications, notably testing positive for COVID-19 and double pneumonia, necessitating his confinement to the intensive care unit (ICU). He was provided great care by Dr Raffaella Pavani and the wonderful staff of the ICU. Consul Braggani expressed deep gratitude to Dr Pavani, for her outstanding coordination and care provided by her and the entire ICU staff, who played a pivotal role in his journey towards recovery.
On 29th December 2023 Consul Bragagni was feeling much better and was discharged from the intensive care unit to continue his recovery under the supervision of the medical staff of the Arezzo Hospital.
